    REVISED PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENT CONSULTATION

BSI issue draft construction pre-qualification document PAS 91

The BSI has made draft revised PAS 91 available for public comment. The opportunity to make comments will be open until midnight on Friday 28th September 2012.

This PAS is a revision of PAS 91: 2010 and is sponsored by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) to enable the PAS to be updated to take account of the experience of users of the first edition and to keep abreast of current developments in construction procurement policy and processes.

Particular attention is drawn to the newly introduced section addressing Building Information and Modelling Management (BIM).

BSI state that “all comments are welcomed and will be taken into account in the development of the final draft.”

    Comment

PAS 91 contains health and safety pre-qualification criteria based on those currently in the CDM ACoP. HSE is considering withdrawing the CDM ACoP which may make PAS 91 a more important document regarding health and safety competence assessment.
