TWf supported symposia provide learning opportunity
The Temporary Works Forum (TWf) aims to encourage open discussion of any matter related to Temporary Works and is a not for profit company established for the benefit of the construction industry.
TWf has announced two Temporary Works events in May and September 2017.
- Symposium on Temporary Works and Construction Method Engineering – 11th and 12th May 2017 Venue: City, University of London City.
All and any aspects of temporary works design, detailing and construction will be presented and discussed in a friendly, relaxed and informal setting. Presentations will be short and focused to ensure maximum opportunity for stimulating discussion, both within the sessions and in the refreshment break periods.
- Temporary Works in Construction Research Symposium – 4th and 5th September 2017
Venue: Northumbria University, Newcastle
All completed civil engineering projects experience several temporary states during their construction. Yet the specific issues of these temporary states, and the temporary works that are often required to support them or give access, are relatively little studied. This inaugural symposium, supported by the Temporary Works Forum (TWf), is an opportunity to help steer the future research focus of the temporary works sector.
The symposium will provide a platform for academics, researchers and engineers to share their experience and solution to problems in the sector.
