    fragilesign2Workman hospitalised with serious injuries after roof fall

    A has been flown to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after plunging 30ft through a rooflight at an industrial unit in Ford, West Sussex on 22 January.

    The Sussex Air Ambulance was called to the Rudford Industrial Estate at about 11.30am this morning after the workman fell whilst working on the roof of Styropack Ltd building. Police sources said he suffered “extensive injuries”.

    It is understood the man, in his 40s, suffered a suspected fractured pelvis and broke his left arm.

    He was flown to the trauma unit of the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton, for treatment. His current condition is unknown at this time.

    The Police confirmed that the Health and Safety Executive had been informed.
