Driver charged with causing death by dangerous driving
It has been reported (7 April) by the Exeter Express and Echo that a 44-year-old man has been reported for causing death by dangerous driving following an incident on the A361 at Tiverton, Devon in 2013.
The man will appear before Exeter Magistrates at a date yet to be decided.
Steven ‘Harry’ Tolley, 48, was part of a South West Highways team repairing a section of the A361 on January 29, 2013. He died from injuries sustained after being hit by a van on January 29, 2013.
He was airlifted to Derriford Hospital after the collision on but died a week later.
Another workman in his 40s was also airlifted to hospital for treatment for serious injuries and a third was described as “walking wounded”.
All three worked for South West Highways.
