Images show aftermath of scaffold fall onto London bus
It has been reported by Get West London that “passengers had a near miss” when scaffolding came crashing down on a double-decker bus in Fulham, London.
It is understood that nobody was injured in the incident (26 Nov) and that HSE has launched an investigation.
The scaffold boards and poles fell onto the Route 414 bus as it turned into Gonville Street, Fulham, near Putney Bridge Underground station.
Ken Davidson, Transport for London’s head of bus operations, said:
“There are no reported injuries. The Health and Safety Executive are currently assessed the safe removal of the bus and scaffolding until which time the road remained closed.
There will be an investigation into this incident.”
Riverbank House confirmed the scaffolding was erected outside its office block in Gonville Street but declined to comment on the incident.
