Images of scene of scaffold collapse on North London road
The London Evening Standard has reported (4 October) that a builder working on a loft conversion suffered chest injuries when scaffolding collapsed in north London.
The 23-year-old man was taken to the Royal London Hospital but allowed home after treatment.
Nigel Howard Roisin Delaney, who employed firm Lofty Creations told the Standard
“I received a call at work and they told me what had happened. I couldn’t believe it.
I am so stressed. Firstly because somebody was injured and that worries me, and secondly because I am worried I’ll not only have to pay for this mess, but we won’t be able to stay in our own home for weeks with our children.”
Nigel Howard Scott Waldegrave, a partner at Lofty Creations told the Standard:
“We haven’t got the full facts about what happened exactly. I have been with the workman and he is making a good recovery.
As for who’s paying for things, so much has happened we haven’t had a chance to discuss that. My main concern is that everyone involved is okay.”
