FREE HEALTHY HALF-DAY EVENT AT CHELTENHAM RACES

WWT provide help and guidance on a range of health issues

On 26 February 2013 the South West Working Well Together group is hosting a free Fitness for Work – Fitness for Life half-day event at Cheltenham Race Course providing the opportunity to gain a better understanding of how to safeguard the health and wellbeing of those working in construction.

Industry experts will be on hand to offer guidance and advice on:

  • Asbestos awareness
  • Silica dust
  • Respirator face fit testing
  • Hand arm vibration and noise
  • Welfare arrangements

HSE are devoting more of its time and effort to regulating smaller sites and businesses and this event is aimed at the self-employed and small construction companies to promote better understanding of how to comply with obligations.
