FATALITY: WORKMAN FELL TO DEATH ON REFURB SITE

Workmen fell from the roof of the building under renovation

The Lancashire Telegraph has reported that a construction worker fell 40ft to his death from the roof of a former Blackburn factory on 29th January 2012.

The building is currently being renovated and transformed into industrial units. Paramedics made attempts to resuscitate the man but these proved unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crime scene investigators sealed off the road and Police questioned a number of workers at the site.
