Workman fell from roof at international transportation company premises
The Manchester Evening News has reported that a man has died after “falling from a roof at an industrial estate” at the Ringway Trading Estate on Shadowmoss Road in Wythenshawe. Our further equiries suggest he my have fallen through a rooflight.
The death occurred during work at the Manchester Airport division of Aramex Delivery Unlimited, an international transportation company. The deceased man was working for a contractor and was not an Aramex employee.
A spokesman for the British arm of Aramex Delivery Unlimited said:
“We can confirm that there was a fatality on its premises at Ringway Trading Estate and that the deceased was not an employee of the company. The company is fully co-operating with the authorities in the investigation. The matter is being investigated by the police and the HSE, therefore, it is inappropriate to comment further at this stage.”
