Joiner has died in fall through rooflight during work to repair leak
The NW Evening Mail has reported that joiner, Jason Pennington aged 42, has died after falling over 15m through a rooflight at an agricultural supplies depot on 25th October 2011 in Lindal.
It is understood he was ”fixing a leak in the roof” at the time of his fall and was taken to Furness General Hospital where he later died. His father told told the Evening Mail:
“It’s terrible. We are all totally devastated. He was our only child and it’s hard to believe he is no longer here.”
Rowland Saunders, of building owners ME Saunders at Spark Bridge is said to be “unaware of the details of the incident but confirmed that workers had been fixing a leak in the roof”.
