Pictures of scaffold collapse incident that injured seventeen people
The New York Times has reported that seventeen people were injured after scaffolding collapsed onto a city bus in Harlem on Tuesday 20th September 2011.
Appears that part of structure fell initiating scaffold collapse
Fire officials described the injuries as minor and not life threatening and said no one was missing. The scaffolding had been erected at five-story brick building that was being demolished.
A police spokesman said it appeared that during work on the elevator shaft part of the structure fell onto the scaffolding causing it to collapse. A local shopkeeper said that passengers had been waiting at the bus stop got on the bus moments before the collapse.
