Falling roof trusses on home build site cause serious injuries
It has been reported that a man has suffered head and back injuries after he was trapped by falling wooden roof trusses on a Redrow development on 20 September in South Wales.
Paramedics and special rescue firefighters were called to the unfinished house when the alarm was raised that a man had become trapped on the first floor of the house where he was working.
He was strapped to a stretcher before fire crews used a hydraulic platform to lift the injured man to the ground and taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport suffering from back, neck and head injuries.
An HSE spokesman said the incident has been notified and an inspector will visit the site.
