STAIRCASE AND LANDING EDGE PROTECTION SOLUTIONS

Recent incidents highlight risk from open edges at staircase landings

A home builder was prosecuted recently after a labourer fractured his ribs when he fell from the edge of a temporary staircase.  The workman was carrying doors when he stepped from the edge of the half-landing falling nearly 3m.

There are proprietary solutions available to help manage this risk on both home building and commercial construction projects.
