Workman found at base of ladder during safety net installation work
It has been reported by This is Plymouth that a construction worker has fallen 6m to his death whilst installing safety netting on a cattle shed being built at a beef farm in Great Brynn Barton on Monday, June 13 2011.
The workman was found at the base of a ladder after working near power cables at the top section of the shed. It is not clear whether he died at the scene or in hospital.
HSE and the Devon and Cornwall Police Major Crime Team are conducting a joint investigation. The landowner on which the death occurred has declined to comment. Truro coroner’s office confirmed an inquest has now been opened and adjourned. The cause of death is currently unknown.
