ANDREW MARR HOLDS HIGH COURT WITH CRANE DRIVER

BBC presenter climbs one of the cranes involved in building Shard tower

Andrew Marr of the BBC has met a tower crane operator on the Shard project in London who said he “never tired of the view”. When finished the Shard will rise over 300m above London.

The short video includes crane operator John Young said he often worked “blind” taking instructions by radio when he could not see the steel being lifted from below.

Andrew Marr’s programme Megacities looks at how people live in five of the world’s biggest cities – London, Dhaka, Tokyo, Mexico City and Shanghai.
