Workman died in fall from partially constructed roof over Xmas break
The Burton Mail has reported that a construction worker has died after falling from the roof of an industial building on 29 December 2010.
The man, believed to be in his 30′s, died whilst being taken to hospital after police were called to the building site at Fauld Industrial Estate off Fauld Lane, Tutbury. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Burton’s Queen’s Hospital.
HSE Inspectors have visited the site and investigation into the incident has started
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said:
“We can confirm that a man in his 30s from the Burton area has died after he fell from a roof at a partially constructed industrial building in Fauld. Unfortunately despite the efforts of the emergency services the man died during transit to hospital.
The coroner has been informed as has the Health and Safety Executive due to the nature of the incident.”
