Timetable for compliance with new protocol published for training providers
HSE approved training providers involved in the delivery of emergency first aid at work etc are being informed of the timetable by which they should be compliant with the changes to UK Resuscitation Protocols.
This means HSE approved training organisations must ensure by 1st April 2011:
- trainers and assessors are fully conversant of the changes;
- delivery of new protocols to students; and
- existing training materials revised.
HSE understands there are expenses involved in re-publication of training material in stock and expect the training provider to ensure a corrigendum is in place explaining the relevant changes for existing stocks.
When these stocks are exhausted the revisions must be incorporated in revisions to these publications.
Changes must be implemented by 31st December 2011 in accordance with the recommendations of the UK Resuscitation Council.
