Rescue services unable to save workman trapped in collapsed excavation
The BBC has reported the death of building worker on a a site in Forest Hill, London following the collapse of an excavation. Air ambulance and road ambulance were unable to save the man who died at the scene.
The Police spokesman said: “The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Health and Safety Executive have been informed of the incident.”
An HSE spokeswoman said she had been informed the victim was of Vietnamese origin. She added: “The police are making inquiries. It is too early to add anything more.”
