Young workman plunges to his death through roof during repair work
The Hexham Courant has reported that an 18 year-old man, Jamie Lee Duddin, has died after falling 10m through a grain store roof and landing on the concrete floor below on 23rd July 2010 .
The workman was employed by steel fabricator Scott’s of Whittington when he fell from the roof at Heddon Low Farm. Further enquiries suggest work involving the replacement of rooflights was in progress at the time of the incident.
An inquest has been opened and a Police/HSE investigation has started.
