Construction dumper joyride highlights security requirements
A teenager has been given a 12-month community order with 40 hours of unpaid work after he took a site dumper on hazardous joyride.
He used the vehicle to smash his way out of an 8ft high metal fence around a construction site in Lincoln. Full report.
In mitigation, his legal representative said:
“Mr Keeley accepts he was well and truly egged on by other two and was initially reluctant but was called a chicken. The keys to the dumper truck were, believe it or not, located under the driver’s seat”
