INQUEST HEARS HOW BUILDER STRUCK BY WALL

Builder died during demolition of old cob-walled barn

An inquest in Dorchester has heard how a builder from Poole died when a 2ft section of wall struck him on the head during demolition work.

He was working with his son at Dunbury Farm House in Winterborne Houghton in November 2008 demolishing a cob-walled barn attached to the main house.

Pneumatic breakers were used to sort out the flint, brick and cob into separate piles when the wall fell. The jury inquest continues. Press Report
