Workman dies during construction of ‘large shed’ on farm
The Northern Echo has reported that the funeral has taken place of young father who died when the cherrypicker he was working in hit overhead power lines. He died in the incident which occurred on 11 May 2010 near Bedale North Yorkshire.
It is reported that he “was in the bucket of the machine, helping to build a large shed, when he was electrocuted by wires thought to be carrying more than 11,000 volts”.
The police and Health and Safety Executive are carrying out an investigation into the incident.
