Builder death from exploding canister remains mystery
A 26 year old builder from Shetland died in March 2007 when a can of expanding foam exploded. The can struck him in the chest and ruptured his heart.
A Fatal Accident Inquiry has been considering the death and has concluded that the canister had been exposed to dangerously high temperatures. Sheriff Graeme Napier found that the deaceased man was not responsible for his own death but neither was the canister manufacturer.
