Fire destroys partially constructed London timber frame flats
A fire has broken out at a building site in Camberwell, London, detroying the timber frame under construction.
It is understood to be the second incident on Greenacre Homes project. It follows the fire on a Peckham site in November 2009. The cause of this fire is not known but 75% of a five-storey building under construction has been destroyed. Some 150 people were evacuated from nearby premises as a precaution. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
