Workman loses fight for life after MEWP incident
It has been reported that the worker injured at the Westfield Stratford City development has died. The incident occurred on 9th December when the workman was trapped between the carrier of the platform he was opersting and a fixed structure.
Employer Firesafe Installations said: “Shaun Scurry’s employer, Firesafe Installations, and all his colleagues were shocked by the accident and injuries he sustained when working on the Westfield Stratford City construction site, and are now deeply saddened to learn of his subsequent death.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Investigations into the cause are ongoing, both by the HSE and the company.”
