Welder falls 8m to his death from fermentation tank scaffold

A workman has died after falling from a scaffold around a production tank at Universal Beverages Ltd drinks production facility at Ledbury, Herefordshire.

The man is believed to have fallen from the upper lift of a scaffold located at a fermentation vessel on the modern production plant.

Emergency services were called to the site and found the man on the floor beneath the scaffolding. He he died at the scene.

A spokesperson for Universal Beverages said:”Our thoughts at this time are with family, friends and colleagues who have been impacted by this morning’s events.”
