Death during resurfacing work prompts police arrest of roadworker
The BBC has reported that a workman has been arrested after a 58-year-old worker died when he was struck by a roadsweeping vehicle on the A66 at Embleton, near Cockermouth, Cumbria.
The incident is understood to have occured at night on Friday 31 July 2009. Resurfacing roadworks has been taking place overnight on the A66 at Embleton.
The Police have not as yet released any details of the dead man or the workman arrested.
