Monthly reports of construction sector fatal injuries May 2009

HSE now publish ‘as reported’ fatal injury information each month. This is as reported by third parties and does not purport to be a formal statistical release. 

Subsequent HSE investigation may determine that some are not reportable under RIDDOR. The HSE accounting period runs from 1 April to 31 March. There were no fatal injuries reported during April 2009. 

The May 2009 reports are now available including the following fatalities that appear to be construction related:

1. 09/05: Ilford Essex - Fall from a ladder
2. 15/95: North Yorks – Fall from platform
3. 29/05: Gomersall (Leeds) – Fall from a roof
