Publication of Government report on construction fatalities imminent

A report of the inquiry into construction industry deaths, One Death is Too Many,  is about to be published amid trades union claims that government has ‘watered down’ the report. 

It is understood that the report (96-pages long) and has already been printed and delivered to DWP Secretary of State, Yvette Cooper. 

Comment: It will be interesting to see the findings, delivered at a time when the number and rate of constructiuon fatal injuries is at the lowest levels on record. There has been speculation that the report may highlight occupational health as a key priority for the construction industry.
