MANSLAUGHTER TRIAL STARTS

Court to hear cases arising from death of young construction worker

Two men are now on trial for gross negligence manslaughter arising from the death of 15-year-old Adam Gosling who died on a building site in London when he was allegedly working unsupervised.

The Old Bailey court has heard that Adam was instructed to prop a 7m high wall which collapsed and crushed the young labourer in April 2007. Colin Holtom, employer, is accused of manslaughter by gross negligence.

The trial is expected to last a number of weeks.
