Regulator to provide regular health and safety bulletins
HSE is developing a Safety Bulletin system for all types of existing HSE bulletins, safety alerts and other notifications merged into a single point of access on the HSE web-site.
The information will be held in a ’central repository’ with links to information held elsewhere. The public will be able to receive automatic notification of new Safety Bulletins via a sign up system which will be in place by the end of May 2009.
Comment: This is a very positive development. Information about incidents and any preventive lessons arising need to be shared by others at the earliest opportunity. The new HSE system should help to achieve this objective.
