Hoglift system for safer lifting of units on and off vehicles
The Hoglift system enables units to be lifted on and off vehicles for transporting. The system includes four sliding channels complete with sliding lift trolleys. The trolleys are fitted with lifting rings which can be utilised for securing the container to the vehicle during transit. An adjustable base leg can be used for levelling on site plus pre-drilled plates to enable units to be double stacked and bolted together. A short video explains how the device works.
Comment: HSE have just relauched their falls from vehicles campaign. The suppliers describe the device as “a low lifting solution predominately for cabins and containers but could very easily be developed for just about any piece of construction equipment that has a lifting point where the operative has to leave the floor to connect to this point”. The product may therefore be of use to those in the construction sector looking to reduce the risk of falling from vehicles during loading and unloading.
