Vigil planned for inquest into builder crushed by grab

A  Inquest in to the death Steven Allen, 23, of Keighley, will take place on 2-3 February 2009. Mr Allen died from injuries he suffered during the construction of a waste recycling plant in March 2007. A scissor grab attached to a 360 excavator closed on his head causing fatal injuries. HSE investigated the incident and its report will be heard at the inquest.

A moving account by his mother, Judith Allen, is published on the Fack website and she is due to join occupational health workers and members of campaign group Families Against Corporate Killers (Fack) at a vigil outside the inquest.
